When I started Give Your Sole back in May of 2009 I didn't have a clue on where to begin. I'd been in the business world for years, opening and operating restaurants, switching to a career in sales, but decided that life had to be more about helping others, so along side of working in sales I figured, 'How hard could it be to run a non-profit!'

ABC 15 - Sonoran Living TV Show

We recently attended the P.F. Changs Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon and 1/2 and on Friday before the race had the opportunity to go on ABC 15 and share about Give Your Sole. Many people commented on seeing us on the show which resulted in helping us donate 500 pairs to the Phoenix Rescue Mission.

Rise of the Phoenix

It didn’t take the runners 500 years to rise up and breathe life into charity at the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona marathon and 1/2; they did it in three days. Give Your Sole received over 500 pairs of shoes throughout the weekend’s convention and racing events, which are already helping those less fortunate in the Phoenix area.

The Phoenix Rescue Mission was founded in 1952 by six businessmen from the Phoenix area. In the beginning, they ministered to migrant workers and vagrants. "Homelessness" was not yet a term that was associated with persons who had unfortunate circumstances
